How to merge audio files
- Press Add files and pick two or more files (or drag them in).
- Use the arrows to put them in order. Press ▶ to hear the first seconds of each.
- Choose a crossfade: 0 s for spoken segments, 2–4 s for a DJ-style blend between songs.
- Press Join and download.
Need to tidy a segment before joining? Trim it first in the audio trimmer, or level mismatched recordings with the volume booster's normalize button so one file is not much louder than the next.
Questions
Can I join files of different formats?
Yes. Each file is decoded to raw audio first, and files with different sample rates are resampled to the highest rate before joining. You can mix MP3, M4A, WAV and others freely.
What does crossfade do?
It overlaps the end of one file with the start of the next, fading one out while the other fades in (an equal-power curve, so the volume does not dip). Set it to zero for a straight cut, which is best for speech that was split mid-sentence.
Are the files uploaded?
No. Joining and encoding happen in your browser. Large files take a moment because your own device does the work.
Is there a limit?
Up to 20 files and 60 minutes combined, which keeps memory use safe on phones.
