How to use it
- Press Record and speak, open a file, or load the sample clip.
- The deep voice effect (−5 semitones) plays as soon as the audio is ready.
- Go further with "Custom pitch" (−3 for subtle, −9 to −12 for villain territory) or tap "Monster".
- Download MP3, WAV or OGG.
How a deeper voice is made
The audio is time-stretched with WSOLA and then resampled, so every frequency drops by the same ratio while words keep their original length. Five semitones down is a frequency ratio of about 0.75, which is enough to sound clearly deeper without the voice turning muddy.
Large drops also lower the resonances of your mouth and throat, which is what makes −9 and beyond sound like a giant rather than a person with a low voice. "Monster" adds drive and a band-limit on top for that effect.
Make it sound richer
Get close to the mic (the proximity effect adds bass), speak slowly, and finish in the audio editor with a small 80 Hz lift and the "Warm radio" preset.
Use it fairly
These are sound effects, not voice cloning. Do not use them to impersonate someone or to deceive people, and only process other people's recordings with their permission.
Questions
Is my audio uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is decoded, processed and encoded by your own browser using the Web Audio API. Nothing is sent to a server, which is also why it works on large files without a queue.
How do I make my voice deeper without an app?
Record here in the browser and the deep voice effect is applied straight away. Nothing is installed and the audio never leaves your device.
Can I use it live on Discord or Zoom?
No. This tool changes recordings and files. Live voice changing in calls needs a virtual audio driver installed on your computer.
Is this an AI voice changer?
No. It uses classic signal processing (pitch shifting and filtering), so it is instant, free and works offline once the page has loaded. It cannot imitate a specific real person.
