How to use it
- Open a file and tick "Hear effects live".
- Press play and move the faders while you listen.
- Use the high-pass to remove rumble below the voice (80–100 Hz for speech).
- Apply, then download.
Where common problems live
Rumble, traffic and desk bumps sit under 80 Hz. Muddiness and a "boxy" room sound live around 200–400 Hz. Nasal or honky tones come from roughly 800 Hz–1.5 kHz. Presence and intelligibility are 3–5 kHz, sibilance 5–8 kHz, and "air" above 10 kHz.
Cutting usually sounds more natural than boosting. Try pulling down the problem band by 3 dB before pushing the good one up.
Questions
Is my audio uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is decoded, processed and encoded by your own browser using the Web Audio API. Nothing is sent to a server, which is also why it works on large files without a queue.
Can I boost bass with this?
Yes: raise the 80 Hz shelf. Keep an eye on the peak level afterwards; bass boosts eat headroom quickly, so enable the limiter or lower output gain.
